Chaldeans Loving Christ (CLC) offer a unique way to build a relationship with God. Everything from Chaldean social pressures to the virtues come into sight while gathered in the Social Hall of Saint Thomas Church. CLC was designed for high school teens. These programs move at a faster pace than a traditional catechists program. Teens’ ideas and thoughts are always heard, and questions are addressed through an informal setting; leaders of the program are often found among teens before the night, during small group and after the night. Most of all, it is our goal to let God’s message be revealed through the Holy Spirit as He guides us through each night in prayer.

February 10 – How to have a successful Prayer Life
In 5 Simple Steps …
1) Be Patient: Adoration can be a little bit of a work out for your soul so set yourself up for success. If it’s been awhile, or your first time, 5 minutes of sitting with Jesus is a good goal. Slowly increase your time—you’ll be amazed at how God increases your capacity to be with Him!
2) Read Scripture: “When we pray we speak to God, but when we read, God speaks to us.” – Saint Jerome
3) Pray the Rosary: “When the Holy Rosary is said well, it gives Jesus and Mary more glory and is more meritorious than any other prayer.” – Saint Louis de Montfort
4) Listen to Praise & Worship Music: It’s great to start or close adoration or prayer with Praise & Worship songs to help create a focus on the center of our time. The music and the lyrics help us quiet ourselves and turn our thoughts to God.
5) Be Okay with Silence: “You move us to delight in praising You; for You have formed us for Yourself, and our hearts are restless till they find rest in You.” – Saint Augustine
