The Sacrament of First Holy Communion
In First Holy Communion the children will prepare to meet the Lord Jesus in this very special sacrament. The First Holy Communion ritual celebrates the child’s second step toward full initiation into the Church. The Eucharist is the greatest gift that Jesus gave to us – the gift of himself. The Eucharist is a gift that takes a whole lifetime to understand; it is a gift that requires a response from us. That is why it is so special and why we must take such care that our children are well-prepared.

Mandatory Orientation & First Day of Class
Parents
- 3:00 PM: Parent Orientation in the Church
- At least one parent is required to attend.
Students
- 3:00 PM: Report to assigned classrooms in the Social Hall/Basement.
- Classroom assignments will be emailed approximately one week before the program begins.
Weekly Schedule
Saturdays | 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- 3:00 – 4:25 PM: Catechism Class (by grade/age)
- 4:30 – 5:00 PM: Mass Booklet Practice (Church – all students)
- 5:00 – 6:00 PM: Mandatory Mass
- Parents are strongly encouraged to attend.
No Classes
- November 28, 2026 – Thanksgiving Break
- December 26, 2026 – Christmas Break
- January 2, 2027 – New Year Break
- March 27, 2027 – Easter Break
Mandatory Communion Week
- Monday, April 19 – Thursday, April 22, 2027
- Attendance is required all four days for every student.
- Please do not schedule vacations, sports practices, games, or other activities during this week.

1st Mass: 10:00 AM
2nd Mass: 2:00 PM

Mandatory Orientation: TBD
– At least one parent must attend orientation in the church
– All students report to their assigned classrooms in the social hall at 3:00PM
– Classroom lists will be emailed approximately one week prior

– Saturdays: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
– Catechism Class: 3:00 – 4:25 PM (by grade/age in classrooms)
– Mass Booklet Practice: 4:30 – 5:00 PM (all students in the church)
– Mass (Mandatory): 5:00 – 6:00 PM (parents are encouraged to attend)
